Group Woofkeeper – Accounts Legend


Part Time




  • Maintain accurate records of all day-to-day financial transactions for the Woofys group of entities
  • Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled on periodical basis
  • Manage the payroll, accounts payable and receivable process (including interactions with employees, suppliers and debtors)
  • Create and run relevant financial reports for management review and action
  • Produce periodical and ad hoc analysis of business performance (eg, actual v budget performance)
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure appropriate financial and business controls are observed within the business and highlight any issues for management attention
  • Liaise with the external accounting firm for tax and other matters as required
  • Document key financial policies and processes, and provide suggestions for improvement where required


  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally with applicable industry understanding
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting best practices (especially payroll / payable / receivable principles)
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands on experience with spreadsheets, ideally Microsoft Excel
  • Produce work efficiently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience with XERO and MS Office suite
  • Professionalism and organisation skills
  • Customer service and negotiation skills
  • Ideal candidate has a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent), or at least three years’ experience in a similar type role
  • Full Australian drivers licence


  • Timely processing of bank, payroll, accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Periodical reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Complete month-end reporting and year end reporting within agreed timelines
  • Produce management reports and highlight key variances and other matters for management attention
  • Ensure all employee, supplier, debtor and tax obligations are met so to avoid unnecessary penalties (eg, interest charges, employee complaints etc)
  • Other performance goals to be agreed with the General Manager as required
